Jackson Puylara for Town Board

My name is Jackson Puylara, I am twenty-three years old, and I am running for Seneca Falls Town Board. I was born and raised here. After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Business Administration, I came back to Seneca Falls. This town is the place where I want to settle down and raise my own family. However, as I walk downtown, I see countless empty storefronts. Many of my peers have chosen to move away after graduation, and I know that good quality housing that young working families can afford is scarce here. Something needs to change.

We have so many great things here: excellent schools, beautiful waterways, a rich history, strong community spirit and values. But we have allowed our infrastructure to crumble and made irresponsible expenditures that hinder our growth and progress. We need to make long overdue investments in infrastructure, the beautification of the town and protection of our heritage and environment. I urge you to give me the opportunity to fight for these changes.

Diane Draheim for Town Justice

My name is Diane Draheim and I am running for Town Justice. I have lived in Seneca Falls for the past 28 years. I am married, with 5 grown children and 11 grandchildren.

I have an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors in Human Services. I have held a variety of positions throughout my work career, the majority have been in Human Service type positions, most of my roles have been supervisory. I was the director of The Seneca County House of Concern for 7 years. It was during this time that I was able to become very familiar with Seneca Falls and the commitment the community has to support those in need.

I believe this job is one that I am suited for. I do not think that the political party for this position matters as much as someone who can be open minded, fair, and follow the rule of law. These are characteristics that I strive to embody. I hope that you will consider supporting me.

If you would like to donate to my campaign, I would be very grateful. You can send a check to Friends of Diane Draheim, c/o Rachel Weil, 51 Ovid St, Seneca Falls NY 13148.

Melissa Brand Brown for Town Clerk

I am a lifelong Seneca County resident, a proud graduate of FLCC and SUNY Potsdam, and have worked for the Seneca County Health Department for twelve years. I have also been on the Seneca Falls Planning Board and on the Board of Trustees of the Seneca Falls Historical Society. I have always enjoyed working on the service end of things, and this will be a great opportunity to broaden my responsibilities and serve a broader population.

As town clerk I will continue the good work of Nicoletta Greer to make public records clear and accessible to everyone. We should all be able to understand what we pay in taxes and fees, and how that money is being used.I will also work hard to help Seneca Falls residents to more easily find information about funds and services that might be available to them through governmental or other agencies. The town clerk is a key point of contact between the people and their town government, and my office will strive to provide open and courteous service to all Seneca Falls residents.
