Fayette Candidates

David Pell for Fayette Town Justice

Hello, I am David Pell and I am in the only competitive election for a local town office on November 4th, 2025. I am asking for your vote for Fayette Town Justice. Although relatively new here, I have been elected and served two terms as Justice of the Peace in Hinesburg, Vermont. Since then, I’ve lived 16 years in New York, here and in Baldwinsville, NY. I’ve worked as an independent carpenter and contractor for much of my working life and have a college degree (BA, U of Utah, ‘80).

In a wonderful relationship here. I am running to serve this great town in the best possible way and to give voters a choice considering my past experiences. We already help out with Meals on Wheels, but I’d like to do more.

NY State Judicial guidelines recommend Citizens, not Law Enforcement, should be a Town Justice. Being neither Lawyer, nor Law Enforcement, I wish to follow the advice of both professions to keep our people, roads, homes and waterways safe. And doing so without favor to Defense or Prosecution.

The Town Justice is part time and deals with multiple cases monthly, such as traffic, boating, civil violations, arraignments, civil suits, and diverse legal issues and challenges. Without local biases, I can be independent of party and I resolve to be fair.

While campaigning door to door in Fayette, the largest town in area in Seneca County, I will enjoy meeting more of my neighbors and have enjoyed meeting folks at Town Hall and Court.

      Thank you for your consideration.
